Friends of the Redondo Beach Public Library
Working Towards a More Literate and Informed Community
The primary purpose of the Friends shall be to maintain an association of persons interested in enriching and publicizing the resources of the library, to support and promote library activities aimed at developing the RBPL as a consistently growing resource for education and culture in the interest of the community. The secondary purpose is to enrich the Library’s resources with funds derived from sales of donated materials from the Friends’ bookstore, as well as memberships, endowments, bequests, and special fundraising projects.

Friends of our Community
The Friends of the Redondo Beach Public Library was formed to promote an awareness of the public library to the general public and within the local schools, to aid in collection development and acquisition of special equipment through fund-raising activities, and to help publicize the library's special collections and volunteer program.
Mission
Making a Difference in our Community
The Friends is in the business of changing and shaping lives, one book at a time. We are an all-volunteer run, 100% donation supported Non-Profit Organization 501(c)3, whose aim is to support the needs of the Main and North Branches of the Redondo Beach Public Library.

The Friends Store
At Redondo Beach Public Library, the Friends are dedicated to fundraising for the Library, providing books and other materials to our visitors, and working to ensure that books and other literary and educational materials are always available to our patrons. We gladly accept book donations (clean, gently used, please). Note: books are sold so rapidly that we do not inventory them- please come in and browse!
The City of Redondo Beach
It is recognized that the Redondo Beach Public Library is invested in the enrichment of the City of Redondo Beach and works with the Redondo Beach Library Commission to facilitate funding for the Library.
